FAVA BEAN Aguadulce
Vicia faba
A large seeded broad bean listed in 1885 by Vilmorin-Andrieux, a French seed company, as ‘Agua-Dulce Long Podded’ has a sweet nutty flavour and is an excellent culinary vegetable. Usually planted in fall for an early summer harvest, this old world bean has beautiful flowers loved by bees and is extremely cold tolerant.
