TOMATO Amish Paste
Lycopersicon lycopersicum
An Amish heirloom from Wisconsin which originally came from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This tomato variety has acorn-shaped, large deep red fruits weighing 8-12 oz. with thick flesh and few seeds. This indeterminate plant is a heavy producer so needs staking. Makes a delicious sauce and is great eaten fresh.
