ARUGULA
Eruca sativa
A member of the brassica family an attractive, fast growing and easily cultivated salad ingredient. Very distinctive taste, nutty and pungent. Long, dark green lobed leaves form a loose, open rosette. Reseeds itself in the garden and is very hardy, can be harvested all winter and is one of the first greens to grow in the spring.
