BEAN Aunt Jean’s
Phaseolus vulgaris
This pole bean is a Canadian heirloom with beautiful half red and half white seeds almost round in shape. It can be used as a green snap bean or left to mature for a winter dry bean and has 6 seeds per pod. With a sweet nutty flavour it retains its color and pattern after cooking. Good in soups, stews and a colorful addition to salads.
