BEAN Bird’s Egg Horticultural
Phaseolus vulgaris
A cranberry type with gorgeous purple and beige coloration. The variety is very prolific and fairly early for a pole dry bean and is good as a fresh shell bean. The beans are delicious in soups, stews and in salad as the cooked beans hold their shape well.
