PEPPER Chilhuacle Negro
Capsicum annuum
The most prized chile from Oaxaca, Mexico, dark mahogany, 2”-3” fruit is muffin shaped on a large bushy plant. One of the most flavourful chiles with tones of dried plum and licorice it has a subtle, spicy medium heat and dries to a nearly black colour. Used in mole negro, a specialty sauce from Oaxaca, Mexico.
