Lens culinaris
A small highly prized lentil of delicious flavour and reddish brown colour from the eastern area of Washington State. Great in curries, casseroles, soups or stews and wonderful as a side dish. These lentils are easy to grow and are planted in the Pacific Northwest with peas in March. This variety grows on a beautiful feathery foot high bush with exquisite tiny flowers.
