Heirloom edible pod pea pre-1773 introduced in 1892 by D.M. Ferry and Co. Beautiful purple blossoms produce broad pale green 3″-4” pods on vines 24″-30” tall that do not need trellising. Earliest producing edible pod pea, very prolific, pods born in clusters. Very good eaten raw, steamed or in stir fry. Fusarium wilt resistant.
