BEAN Ellen’s Brown Stripe
Phaseolus vulgaris
A large pole dry bean with dark brown markings on a light brown background. Tall vines produce copious numbers of beautiful beige pods full of numerous large brown beans. A bit later than other pole dry beans to ripen but well worth the wait. Delicious in soups and stews and works well for baked beans.
