PEAS Golden Sweet Edible Pod
Pisum sativum var. sativum
Collected at a market in India, the only yellow colored edible pod pea in Seed Savers Exchange collection of 1,200 pea varieties. The beautiful two-toned purple flowers produce lemon-yellow pods born on 6’- 8’ tall plants, so they need trellising. Best eaten small and excellent in stir fry, can also be dried and the beautiful speckled seeds used in soups and stews.
