Vilmorin introduction from 1771 also known as Baltimore or Philadelphia Oakleaf in the 1880s. Tight rosettes of medium, dark green, deeply lobed oak leaf shaped leaves. Beautiful upright plant holds well in hot weather, never turning bitter. The flavor is crisp and sweet with thick tender, succulent mid-ribs. Can be grown from spring through to fall.
