The original Dutch butterhead lettuce is a time proven giant Boston type. This vigorous, rapid grower has sweet, succulent leaves. It works best for a spring or fall sowing in a greenhouse, cold frame or cloche. Developed from Reine de Mai from France producing large, pale green heads with a creamy yellow heart.
