Common chile in Mexico used green pickled, in salsas and for fresh eating. Very hot sausage-shaped fruits 3”-3 ½” by 1” tapering to a blunt rounded point. The 18”-24” bushy plants are very productive and the abundant fruit is thick walled, crisp and juicy, and when mature red ripe it is smoked to make chipotle peppers.
