1830’s Scottish heirloom, one of the hardiest varieties you can grow for over wintering. Very large tender thick white stalks and medium dark blue green fan shaped leaves are delicious with a mild flavour. They are great in the fall and winter for sautés, soups and stews. This variety is one of the last to bolt in the spring, a good one for home gardens or local markets.
