Perennial: Specialty culinary herb. Large plant 4’- 5’ with glossy dark green leaves, celery-like fragrance and taste. Used in spring salads, soups, stews, sauces and with rice, potatoes and poultry dishes. The stems, leaves, flowers and roots are used medicinally as a warming digestive tonic and as a stimulant and the seeds are used in baking cakes and cookies.
