Originally from the Pyrenees region of Spain, these delicious lentils with a nutty flavour are sometimes called “Spanish brown.” They are great sprouted for use in salads and hold their shape well when cooked so are great in curries, casseroles, soups or stews and wonderful as a side dish. Easy to grow foot high plants grow many pods of small speckled greenish brown lentils.
