A vigorous romaine with dark gray-green leaves on an upright 8-12inch head. The leaves are neatly folded and slightly savoyed with a creamy white heart. Very uniform, delicious, med-slow bolt, disease resistant and mosaic tolerant. Named after an island off the South Carolina coast.
