Related to the guajillo this hot pepper measures 4”-5” long and ¾ ” wide, it is shiny, oxblood red, curved, elongated, tapering to a point. The thin fleshed chiles are spicy hot with intense heat and a light flavour containing sharp fruit and cherry tones with just a hint of licorice. The 18”- 24” plants produce numerous chiles are most often used in the dry form.
