ORACH Purple
Atriplex hortensis
A salad ingredient related to Lamb’s Quarters and in the same family as spinach. The small deep purple leaves brighten up any salad mix and larger leaves can be used as a hot weather spinach substitute. Can grow quite tall, adding striking colour and interest to the garden landscape. Tender leaves are succulent and rich in vitamin C.
