Raphanus sativus
A beautiful heirloom radish grown since the 1880’s with oblong, blunt roots which are rose-scarlet and have white tips, crisp flesh and a mildly pungent flavour. Best sown in spring or fall and picked when young for the most delicious sweet flavour. This top quality variety has abundant greens to protect the developing roots from the heat of summer.
