BEAN Royalty Purple Pod
Phaseolus vulgaris
A bush bean with short runners and beautiful purple flowers. Bred at the University of New Hampshire by Prof. Elwyn Meader and introduced by Billy Hepler Seed Company in 1957. Pods are 5”-6” long bright purple, stringless, slightly curved, very tender, delicious, turning green when cooked. Tolerates shade, germinates well in cool soils and is disease resistant.
