Perennial: The handsome dusky green leaves are used in salad dressings, sausage, sauces, soups, stews and traditional stuffing. Produces beautiful purple flowers along with gray green wooly leaves which are great in flower arrangements, floral wreaths or swags. Medicinally used as a digestive and nerve tonic and is both astringent and antiseptic.
