Sanguisorba minor
Perennial: With its pleasing cucumber flavour, oval toothed leaves and deep crimson flowers, this herb is a great addition to salads, vinegars, tomato dishes and dressings. Green through out the winter in the Pacific Northwest and is very easy to grow. The root is used medicinally as a wound herb to stop bleeding.
