Rumex scutatus
Perennial: A hardy native to Europe, member of the buckwheat family, this plant has smooth bright green leaves with a crisp lemon flavour. Produces an abundance of tender young leaves early in the spring good in salads. When full size the leaves are great in soups and sauces and especially delicious with fish. Grows about 18” tall producing all summer long.
