TOMATILLO Queen of Malinalco
Physalis ixocarpa
A very rare old variety from Malinalco, Mexico with long tapered vibrant green fruits ripening to a bright, lemon yellow sweeter and with fewer seeds than other varieties. Raw or roasted, in salsas or kabobs these fruits are like unwrapping a delicious present. The abundant yields on 2′-3′ bushy plants are almost like giant ground cherries.
