TURNIP Purple Top White Globe
Brassica rapa
Pre-1880 heritage turnip with large bushy green cut leaf tops and creamy white roots with a bright purple blush on the shoulders. Uniform smooth globes are best picked when about 4” when they are sweet and mild. Easy to grow, direct seed in the garden, bears longer than most. Plant anytime during the season though fall plantings are sweeter.
