SQUASH Waltham Butternut
Cucurbita moschata
An AAS/1970 winner and the most popular butternut variety with a rich yellowish-orange flesh and a nutty flavour. Fruits averaging 3-6 lbs. have smooth tan skin and a thick cylindrical neck with a small seed cavity in the bulbous end of the fruit. This plant produces vigorous vines with delicious fruits that are great storage keepers.
